What We Offer

Below are services we offer under environmental and public health assessments

Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA)

We offer ESIA studies for a wide range of sectors such as infrastructure, health, agriculture, mining, water and sanitation, energy, etc. We work closely with project teams to identify potential environmental and social risks/impacts, and develop holistic, realistic, and affordable strategies and plans to avoid, mitigate and/or offset significant impacts and risks. Our pool of thematic experts leads these studies and support our clients to secure the requisite approvals from the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). This service includes the following:
ESIA Screening and Scoping
Environmental and Social Baselines
Development of ESIA documents
Gender Based Assessment and Action Plans
Stakeholder Engagement and Consultation Plans
Indigenous people assessments
Resettlement Action Plans
Livelihood Restoration Plans

Environmental and Occupational Risk Assessment (ERA)

This assessment specifically answers the common question, “What is the risk on human health and the environment?”. Our assessments include Hazard Identification, Dose-Response studies, Exposure Assessment, Risk Characterization and Risk Management. This is followed by technical advisory on how to cost effectively manage the risks.

Environmental and Social Due Diligence (ESDD)

Financiers’ environmental and social due diligence is typically performed to identify the potential environmental and social (E&S) risks and liabilities associated with a particular transaction or investment. This is done by assessing the compliance status of the Target Project/Company under assessment with respect to applicable national legal requirements and international good practice standards and guidelines pertaining to E&S performance. This involves identifying, quantifying, and evaluating the environmental and social risks that could arise while identifying the mitigation measures thereof. Tenvicon supports investors to assess conditions of a property and any potential environmental and social liabilities of their targeted acquisition and business transactions.

Our team of experts support clients to navigate the complex environmental and social due diligence requirements for internationally funded projects. We carry out E&S due diligence of investment projects in the following areas:

 Assessment of E&S risks / performance of investment projects
 Gap analysis between IFC Performance Standards and local E&S standards
 Preparation of an E&S Action Plan (ESAP) specifying necessary activities to reach compliance with IFC PS, responsibilities, budgets, performance indicators.
 Formulation of ready-to-use E&S review summaries in line with client requirements.
