The proposed Portal Road (400 Metres) project upgrade to bituminous standard is located in Kasese Municipality and starts at N0174546, E0020048 and ends at N0174419, E0019700. The proposed project entails upgrading the 400 Metres road to Class 2 bitumen standard and installation of Solar Street lights. The upgrading of the road will involve redesigning, widening, and strengthening of the existing carriageway and shoulders following the existing alignment. Further improvements in the drainage of the existing road will be undertaken.
