The Makuutu REE Project plans to commence with a small-scale Proof of Concept (PoC) Processing Plant scheduled for commissioning in May 2023. This will extract REE from 5,000 tonnes of representative Ionic Adsorption REE Clay ore. Information obtained from this trial will inform final design decisions and confirm REE recoveries. Prior to any disturbances to the acquired sites, Tenvicon was contracted to undertake a comprehensive biodiversity and cultural heritage surveys to establish the biomass and species of conservation value to be lost and the cultural heritage resources. The total size of land to be surveyed is 20 acres.
