Jamil has 15+ years environmental safeguards consulting experience built through supporting numerous development projects in Africa and Asia financed by the World Bank/IFC, U.S. DFC, AFD, EU, KfW, AfDB, USAID, JICA, Exim Bank, international NGOs, government ministries, departments and agencies, and the private sector. He is an accredited Team Leader for environmental impact assessments and audits by Uganda’s National Environment Management Authority (NEMA). He holds a BSc in Industrial Chemistry from Makerere University and a MSc in Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University, New York. His recent experience includes supporting USAID projects to comply with 22 CFR 216 regulations, leading ESIA and Audits and preparation of safeguards management plans aligned to IFC standards for largescale mining projects and providing safeguards (HSE) supervision for a large water supply project in south western Uganda. He is currently a parttime Environmental and Social Safeguards Consultant with the African Development Bank where he provides environmental safeguards support to bank projects. As the CEO and Technical Director, Jamil manages and directs the company to achieve its vision and mission while providing inhouse technical expertise.

Kenneth is a NEMA Certified Environment Impact Assessor No. CC/EIA/228/26 with 15+ years managing safeguards for large infrastructure projects that include the USD 125m New Nile Bridge at Jinja, the USD81m Kampala Flyover Project, the USD78m Achwa HPP2, the USD 20m Atari Irrigation Scheme and several other road projects. Kenneth holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Environmental Engineering and Management of Kyambogo University and an International General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health by NEBOSH, a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Planning and Management and is ISO 31000 Risk Manager Certified. His experience includes water quality monitoring and bathymetric surveys; advised on compliances to environmental regulations and permitting requirements, developed method statements, management plans as well as implementing best management practices for environmental impact monitoring. He has been deeply involved in HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention campaigns, Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) outreaches as well as gender sensitization, monitoring, and reporting. Having worked with several donor-aided projects, he is well abreast with funder requirements and ensuring that projects adhere to international standards and best practices. He leads construction HSE services.

Vincent has 7+ years’ experience in business development working with top consulting companies in Uganda. He leads the company’s business development activities including developing strategies, proposal development, forging business partnerships, managing client relationships and contracts management. Adam leads all social studies at Tenvicon. His 25+ years’ experience includes leading multidisciplinary teams in planning, implementing and producing deliverables of: baseline surveys, mid-term and final evaluations of development programs and projects; social impact assessments; resettlement action planning; social audits; institutional strategic analysis, political economy analysis of development projects and programs; cultural analysis of development projects and programs; rapid community appraisals and action research. Facilitating stakeholders affected by prospective and actual development interventions to develop: social management plans; resettlement action plans; institutional strategic plans; local economic development programs; and social development programs. He has led social safeguards assessments for the Makuutu Rare Earth Project, the Northern Eastern Road Corridor Asset Management Project (NERAMP), Orom-Cross Graphite project, Green Hydrogen Fertilizer project and many others. He holds an Interdisciplinary Master of Philosophy in Social Studies from Makerere University.

Veronica leads health and safety aspects for all our projects. She has 10+ years managing safety and health for large infrastructure projects including the $72m Kagera Water Supply Project, the USD 78m Achwa HPP2, the $20m Atari Irrigation Scheme, the $27m Kikagati Hydro Power Project and several other road projects. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environment Management of Makerere University, an Occupational Safety and Health Training in Safety Management from OSHA Academy and several trainings related to OSH and is member of Safety and Health Association of Uganda. She is currently finalizing a Master of Science in Environmental and Occupational Health.

Albert has 7+ years’ experience in managing Quality, Health, Safety, Social, and Environmental (QHSSE) aspects, Sustainability assessments, Water/Wastewater treatment, and Energy. He has strong knowledge of Ugandan legislation and international best practices, including ISO’s integrated systems of 9001, 14001, and 45001 and the operational safeguards of several international financing institutions, such as the AfDB and the World Bank. At Tenvicon, Albert leads environmental engineering projects including wastewater treatment design, solid waste management, risk assessments and health and safety planning for construction projects.

Hawa is a tax compliance consultant specializing in tax planning, financial viability analysis of projects, project financing and cost-benefit analysis. She previously worked for Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) as a tax compliance officer for 15+ years and continues to support several private companies to achieve tax compliance. She leads tax compliance and administration at Tenvicon including filing of returns, maintaining up-to-date books of accounts and fulfilling all our tax obligations. Hawa holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration, post graduate diploma in taxation and revenue administration and a Fellow in Association of Chartered and Certified Accountant (ACCA).
