Is an ESIA required for all projects in Uganda?

Under the National Environment Act (NEA) 2019, projects in Schedule 2 must submit an Environmental Impact Statement to NEMA. These include roads, dams, mining operations, large-scale agriculture, and industrial facilities. A project brief is required for smaller undertakings.
